God came down to earth as mortal man.
He walked with us. He held our hands.
He healed the sick-the lame-the blind.
He once turned water into wine.
His voice would calm the stormy sea;
He raised the dear for all to see.
He chose twelve men and taught them well;
He told of Heaven and warned of Hell.
But Satan entered into one
and when his evil deed was done,
Our Savior died up on that cross.
It seemed that surely all was lost.
But God was pleased with Christ that day.
His will was done. The Lamb was slain.
He gave His Son on Calvary’s tree
that we may live eternally.
