For more than 20 years I have preached at Memphis Union Mission twice a month. Preaching at rescue missions and prisons over many years has enabled me to stay in touch with people who are not attending a local church. Many millions of people in our nation have never known what it is like to be in a Bible-believing church environment. The environment we grow up in, most of the time, makes us or breaks us for the rest of our lives. Let’s never forget this and remember to pray for the millions in rescue missions
and prisons. There is always hope in Christ for people to come to the realization that they simply need the Lord. To hear them at the end of my sermon, pray to receive Christ truly is a blessing and reminds me to be as patient with them as God has been with all of us over these many years.
