D.L. Moody, the foremost evangelist of the 1800’s, came to a moment in his life where he made a most profound decision. He was at a religious meeting and he heard someone say, “The world has yet to see what God can do with a man who is totally surrendered to Him.” This gripped Moody and he said these simple words under his breath, “I’ll be that man.” The rest is history! He was the Billy Graham of his day. It was unlikely for him to be so. He had a large stomach, high shrill voice, incomplete education, and was not widely known. But, what he did have was the anointing of God upon him and a childlike trust in his heavenly Father.
