My friend, it’s ok to love yourself. Jesus clearly tells us that we are to love our neighbor as ourself. The key is this, we are to love God more than ourselves, and our neighbor as ourselves. The life that really counts is concerned first with God, then with others and ourselves.

If you have a moment of weakness, you can suffer a lifetime of regret. As children of God how are we to Restore God’s Wayward Child? When someone we know really blows it. How are we to help them?

You might be thinking, bearing all things is simply impossible! And you are correct, except, if the bearing and loving is being done by Another. You say, “I can’t” God never said you could but always said He would. Agape!  

Trying harder to be loving with troubled people misses the point. God’s agape love “in you” by the indwelling Holy Spirit is the only possible answer. Let go and let God have all there is of you.
